Box of ProTime disposable 3-channel cuvettes consists of 25 Cuvettes--27 Tenderlett Plus Lancets--Package insert. The ProTime Cuvette function performs as blood is actively pumped through only 3 channels of the ProTime 3 cuvette. Two of these channels provide Level I and Level II controls, while the third channel provides the patient's PT values. As blood is pumped across precision molded restrictions within the channels, optical scanners detect clot formation. This pumping action simulates the normal human physiology of 3 mm of Hg capillary pressure and a heartbeat pulse. No blood is introduced into the remaining two channels. They assist the optical scanners in reading the bar code information, as part of the reagent quality control system.
